When I painted Evolution of Self, I felt like I was peeling back layers of who I’ve been and who I’m becoming. The blues came first—waves of movement, spirit, and calm. Then the orange sun broke through, a reminder of power and fire that never dies within me.

I wanted this painting to feel alive, like it was breathing with you as you stand in front of it. That’s why I hid words within the strokes: your heart is always listening, you are deserving, foundation, God, love, and roots. These are not just words, but anchors. They remind me that no matter how high I grow, my roots are what keep me strong.

The figure in the center looks upward, not in despair, but in trust. To me, she represents the surrender it takes to grow—to let love, God, and faith shape you into your truest form.

Evolution of Self is my meditation in color. It’s the moment where the inner voice whispers louder than the noise of the world. A voice that says: keep going, keep trusting, keep evolving.
